1. Overview

TWT Invoice is an invoicing platform for small and medium-sized businesses in Germany. It covers the full life of a document: from the quotation through the order confirmation and the delivery note to the invoice, its dispatch, the incoming payment and the entry in the bookkeeping journal.

The platform was built for German requirements from the start: sequential invoice numbers under § 14 UStG, e-invoicing as XRechnung and ZUGFeRD to EN 16931, a bookkeeping journal following the GoBD principles, DATEV export, and the small-business rule of § 19 UStG.

What you do with it

• Write documents. Quotation, order confirmation, delivery note and invoice in one editor, with your own templates and your logo.
• Invoice electronically. XRechnung and ZUGFeRD at the press of a button, validation report included. Since 2025, receiving e-invoices is mandatory in German B2B.
• Send. By e-mail with the file attached, as a real letter through Deutsche Post, or across the PEPPOL network to public authorities and large customers.
• Collect the money. A payment page with Girocode and card payment, bank statements imported or the bank account connected, payments matched automatically, reminders sent automatically.
• Close the books. Journal entries from invoices and receipts, the VAT return, open items, and a DATEV batch for your tax adviser.
• Work as a team. Invite colleagues, control access through roles, trace every change in the audit log.

On top of that sits a second, independent layer: modules. Which modules your company may use at all is decided by your plan. What a person may do inside those modules is decided by their role. Both layers apply at once — a module outside your plan is invisible even to the owner.

Note

Your documents leave the building only when you send them. Invoices and receipts live on our own infrastructure in Germany, not with a cloud provider. Sending by letter or over PEPPOL hands the file to the respective service — that handover is the dispatch itself.

Two addresses, two languages

The platform is reachable at two addresses. The address decides the language, and you always stay where you entered:

rechnung and invoice lead to the same platform, and whichever address you type stays in the address bar. The language switch at the top right changes the language at any time without leaving the address. Your choice is remembered.

Important

A sign-in applies to one address. If you sign in on .com, you are not automatically signed in on .de. Stay on one address and there is nothing to think about.
